Pool Plant Operators

This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills relevant to the operation of an aquatic facility, plant and associated equipment and the monitoring and maintaining of water quality. This course is the industry standard for pool operators.

This course involves theory and practical components:
• Operate aquatic facility plant and equipment
• Filtration systems
• Water monitoring
• Routine water testing
• Safe chemical handling
• Implementing workplace policy & procedure
• Standards and legislation (relevant to the aquatic industry)
• Disinfection procedures
• Risk analysis
• Responding to emergencies

On completion of the 4 day program candidates are required to complete an on-the-job workbook where access to an operational aquatic centre is required.
