Psychosocial Safety in the Aquatic Industry

This self-paced online module supports aquatic facility leaders, managers and frontline staff to recognise, manage and reduce psychosocial risks in their workplace. It provides practical, scenario-based guidance aligned with contemporary work health and safety expectations and is fully contextualised to typical aquatic facility operations.

Learners explore common psychosocial hazards, their impacts, and the roles and responsibilities of workers and managers in promoting wellbeing, resilience and safer working environments. The module also covers risk management processes, legal duties, de-escalation strategies, and effective incident response and reporting.

Designed to be informative, engaging and immediately applicable, the module includes realistic aquatic industry scenarios, interactive activities and short knowledge checks to support understanding and on-shift application. It also complements the Keep Your Cool at the Pool campaign and forms part of Royal Life Saving’s growing suite of professional development modules for the aquatic industry.
This micro-learning module is delivered fully online and can be completed at your own pace.
